Terms of Use

Effective DateSeptember 2, 2026

1. Using Cache

These Terms of Use apply when you download or use Cache. By using Cache, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Cache is also licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement. If there is a conflict about the licensed app, Apple's agreement controls.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter this agreement where you live. If you have not reached the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms for you. Cache is not directed to children under 13.

3. What Cache does

Cache helps you save links and screenshots, then organise them with tags and collections. You choose what to add through screenshot import, explicit paste, or the iOS share sheet.

4. Licence and acceptable use

Subject to these terms and the Apple Standard EULA, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Cache on Apple-branded products you own or control, including through permitted Family Sharing or volume-purchase arrangements.

You may not:

  • use Cache for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
  • save or use content in a way that violates another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • reverse engineer, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense Cache except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
  • interfere with Cache, its security, its providers, or another person's use of the service.

5. Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in content you add to Cache. You are responsible for that content, for having any permission needed to use it, and for complying with applicable law and the terms of the website or service from which it came.

Saving a link, preview, or screenshot in Cache does not transfer ownership of the underlying content to you or to Cache.

Because your library is stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database, you are responsible for your device, Apple account, iCloud settings, and exported backups.

6. Third-party services and content

Cache can open links and request public information used to generate link previews. Third-party websites, content, products, and services are not controlled or endorsed by Cache.

Their availability, accuracy, safety, privacy practices, and terms are their responsibility. Cache is not affiliated with a third-party service merely because a user saves a link from it.

7. Privacy

The Cache Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and forms part of these terms.

8. Updates, availability, and support

Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued to improve Cache, address security or legal requirements, or respond to changes in Apple, iCloud, iOS, or third-party websites. Notice will be provided when required.

Some features require a compatible device, network connection, iCloud account, or current version of iOS.

Maintenance and support for Cache are provided as required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Contact debraheug@gmail.com for help.

9. Ending use

You may stop using Cache and delete the app at any time. You may also delete your library through Cache and manage synced information through the relevant iCloud controls.

Your right to use Cache under these terms ends if you materially violate them. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cache is provided "as is" and "as available". Cache may not always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every website, device, operating-system version, or third-party service.

Link previews and recognized text may be incomplete or inaccurate. Keep an independent backup of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cache and its provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, business, opportunity, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use Cache.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

12. App Store terms

If you obtain Cache through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the licence for the app. These Terms of Use address your use of Cache and do not replace the Apple EULA.

13. Changes and local rights

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to Cache, law, or operations. The effective date identifies the current version. Additional notice of material changes will be provided when required.

Your continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.

These terms do not override mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply where you live.

Questions about these terms can be sent to debraheug@gmail.com.
